Bureau of Policy Research

The Bureau of Policy Research is part of the Ministry of the Commonwealth.

The Bureau of Policy Research conducts independent public policy research for the Vekllei government and contributes to civil service training through its relationship with the Commonwealth School of Public Service. It is part of the Ministry of the Commonwealth.

The bureau’s primary function is to provide the Cabinet and ministry leadership with rigorous, evidence-based policy analysis that is not tied to the operational interests of any particular ministry. This independence distinguishes it from the research functions that ministries conduct internally. It also evaluates existing government programmes, identifying where policy objectives are or are not being met.
