Bureau of Meteorology

The Bureau of Meteorology is part of the Ministry of Landscape.

The Bureau of Meteorology provides weather forecasting, climate monitoring and natural disaster warnings across Vekllei. The breadth of Vekllei’s territory – spanning from Arctic Kala and Oslola to tropical Kairi and the Bahamas – makes meteorological coordination a significant undertaking, and the bureau operates observation stations in every republic. Its weather and climate data underpin agricultural planning, maritime navigation and emergency management across the Commonwealth.

The bureau’s disaster forecasting function is particularly important given Vekllei’s exposure to Atlantic hurricanes, volcanic eruptions and seismic events. It coordinates closely with the Bureau of Conservation’s Commonwealth Volcanic Hazards Establishment and with the Ministry of Defence civil defence apparatus for severe weather responses. Long-term climate research is conducted jointly with the LSRE.
